Story
Hi there,
The last two years have been difficult, watching two dearest family friends go through the agonising pain of losing a child.
Different circumstances, different ages, different worlds but same grief, same roller coaster ride of emotions, same puzzle missing a piece - a child.
This year I have endeavoured not to just watch these families, but do what I can to make this roller coaster ride, this puzzle missing a piece a little less incomprehensible ... So I am going to do the incomprehensible and ride to Canberra over two days - nearly 300kms on behalf of Aidan Mara and Gretel Middleton - to honor their families and their awesome children.
I haven't ridden a bike in over 25 years - But I am training my butt off. The last 6 months has been a tough gig - early starts, long distances, but at the end of the day, for a fantastic cause - Just conquered 100kms on my 30 year old Bennett Bike.
